I believe good design starts by understanding the basic goals everyone has for the product, the business purpose of the product, the user needs for the product, and the roads that have led to the product's current point. With this knowledge, a strong, empathetic and meaningful design can be reached that pushes expectations, breaks conventions and disrupts age old practices.
I started my career at Apple and since then have worked on a range of projects in which I have led R&D design at Argos, Blinkbox Video, Skype, Ubuntu and Shazam. I'm currently focused on designing the strategy of Microsoft's 3D future and HoloLens augmented reality.
In my spare time I paint oil on canvas.
